Curriculum for Wales
The new Curriculum for Wales is followed by children from the ages of 3 to 16 and became mandatory in primary schools in September 2022.
The curriculum isn’t biassed, and we have designed our curriculum to help develop the children's knowledge, skills and experiences, with learning in a way that works for the children at the centre.
There are four aims at the heart to support all children and young people to be:
- Are ready to learn throughout their lives.
- Are ready to be citizens of Wales and the world.
- Are ready to play a full part in life and work.
- Are ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of
society
