School Improvement

 The School Development Plan (SDP)

The School Development Plan is a live document that enables our school’s vision to be shared and understood by the whole school community.
It gives everyone an understanding of where the school is going and provides a rationale as to why each specific objective is a priority. We have set clear timescales for implementation, and determine how to effectively use resources to support specific goals. The process helps us plan our strategy and prioritise our budget. The SDP is designed to give a sharp, clear focus to those aspects of our work which we believe are most in need of improvement.

Our Priorities for 2024-2025

Priority 1:

Improve the quality of feedback to ensure that pupils understand what they do well and what they need to do to improve (Estyn recommendation January 2024).

Priority 2:

To continue to embed a bespoke curriculum for Brackla Primary School in line with the Curriculum for Wales and our school context.

Priority 3:

To further develop the role of the Senior Management Team with a clear focus on leading and improving and developing approaches for supporting families' financial challenges, ensuring the learning needs and wellbeing of each individual learner are met.

Please read the SDP summary for further details.
